The Greenough Cottage

By Jane Langley

A hidden gem in Newport RI. The artist would look out her kitchen window every morning, sipping coffee, admiring this beauty. This oil wash on sketch paper was a practice study, in preparation for the Newport Art Museum's Wet Paint event of 2014. About the print paper: Hahnemühle, located in Dassel Germany has been making unique superior quality papers since it was founded in 1584. Their product is outstanding, made from specially manufactured natural wool felts that give their papers unique surface texture. This texture is what gives artwork incredible depth. Add a custom note card for that special gift, price reflected is for one card.
